Navigating Technology Together / Navegando Juntos Por La Tecnologia

Dr. Nicholas Kaderas, a psychologist and digital addiction was the featured speaker. Dr. Chown discussed the visual and ocular side effects of screen time alongside a screen time expert, metal health professional, school resource officer, a high school teacher and a graduating senior. Effects of Screen Time on Ocular Health and the Visual System

Dr. Chown was invited to present to the AP Anatomy and Physiology students at Hood River Valley High School by Ms. Samantha Petrie, Dr. Chown discussed the professions of ophthalmology, optometry and opticianary; reinforced basic ocular anatomy and discussed the effects of screen time on our visual system. These students are planing to join the great health occupations after graduation.

Blossoms Bilingual Preschool

The team at Envision EyeCare for All provided vision screenings to preschool children aged 3-5 and some younger siblings! It was a great opportunity to talk to students, teachers and parents about the importance of eye health and vision screenings beginning at 12 months of age.
